Broadcast Audio Production Webinar

March 16, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

It goes without saying, that a successful Radio or Television commercial is one that drives customers to the client.

After talking with various stations around the country we find that the number one item that make a commercial effective is the quality of the production. Quality includes both the message and the presentation.

When Radio and Television production moved away from the analog world using 2 track tape recorders to the digital domain using a digital audio workstation on a laptop, it opened up a new world of recording with new possibilities. However, there is a learning curve and not understanding these features can make the quality of your production go down instead of up.

The ABA Engineering Academy is offering a free one-hour webinar especially designed for production personnel and engineers covering “Broadcast Audio Production Techniques”. Our special guest will be Grammy award winning mix engineer Andrew Scheps (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Adele, Metallica, Jay-Z). He will be joined by Frank Foti with Telos Alliance and Al Mason with Al Mason Productions in Nashville.

They will discuss items such as understanding digital audio, proper setup of your recording equipment, creating templates in your DAW, effective use of multitracks in your project, proper use of background music and effects, balancing the final mix, and getting the audience attention in the first few seconds of the commercial.

Managers should make sure their production personnel are in attendance. It will be held on Tuesday March 16th from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Central Daylight Time.
